Awesome Article About Sex and the Olympics.

I never even considered this as being a big issue, but it turns out that Olympics and Orgies still go hand-in-hand.

I'm famous

Alison Shildt, brilliant local Philly photographer, took a photo of me for philly2night.com. You should check out her portfolio of work. It's pretty impressive.

Saturday, Saturday Night @ DangerDangerGallery, and Sunday Morning Note

Well, Saturday came in like a lion and left like a lamb. On my ride to work there was a city utility truck watering down some manhole and blocking the biking path. I merged into the trolley lane to pass them, but as I tried to merge out of it and get back into the bike path, My front wheel was too wet and got stuck in the trolley track. As I was hurtled over my handle bars, I thought, "Shit, this is going to suck...". It wasn't as bad as I had thought though, and my purchase of a $40 helmet only a week earlier no longer seemed like a frivolous expense. My body hit the ground and I rolled into a parked car in fear that someone was driving behind me. Luckily they weren't and I was able to get off my ass, grab my bike and dust myself off. I got cut up a little, but not as bad as I would have thought. It was pretty exciting, but I'm glad it won't recur. Since this incident, I've started taking the long way to work (extra 10 minutes or 1.5 miles) along streets with prescribed biking paths and less congestion. I think it's worth it.

On Saturday evening I went to a third anniversary show at DangerDangerGallery in West Philly. It was an alright show, but some of the visiting bands were kinda hippie-jam-noise bullshit that I didn't care for. The first act was really excellent and featured a saxophonist and drummer who had their whole thing down pat. I got to see a couple other bands, but the whole show wasn't really that engaging. I'd go back to the venue for sure, but I'd have to listen to the bands beforehand on myspace or something. Anyway, here are some photos from that night:

When I woke up Sunday, passive-aggressive notes were left in the kitchen:

I'm working a lot these days, but it'll pay the bills, so I have to do it. I miss all you kids very much, and didn't really meet many cool people at Saturday's show. Anyone want to move to Philly? That's all to report for now.
