Sad but True

Art passed away peacefully this morning at approximately 11:30am. It is succeeded by its partner Society and its two children, Investigation and Practice. Art's upbringing in a small rural setting allowed it to grow and prosper into an entity that would later become one of the most influential in man's history. There will be no public viewing for Art. It is requested by family and friends that donations in Art's memory be made to The Human Fund ("Money for People").

West Key West

My mom is down in Key West for a month, trying to figure out if she would like to move there now that she is in her retirement stage. She invited me down for a weekend, so I spent some time getting to know the place and really enjoyed it. I'm not one for vacations to Florida, as I envision it as a state full of Mickey Mice and Geriatrics, but the ticket was free. I really enjoyed myself and found an environment completely different from the one that I had envisioned. It was filled with sub-tropical plants, roosters, and biker gangs. I had a lovely time and would go back again for sure.

I've been slackin'

with blogging it up. Last Friday I traveled around Old City bars with Alison Schildt and pretended to be part of the philly nightlife photo company that she works for. This means I got into bars without paying cover, got free beers, and got a reason to take awkward photos of people out for the night.
