I took the el into center city today to shop for family gifts and take photographs. I also checked out the
Yale MFA Photography 2008 exhibition. It was really very impressive, and I think my favorite piece was "Athens, AL" by Sarah Stolfa:
The photograph's composition is about as uncomfortable its subject matter of an individual who is a total invalid.
After that, I ended up just wandering aimlessly for a couple hours. I've had a lot of stuff on my mind lately and find myself zoning out quite often if I am by myself. I was listening to music as I walked, which is a rarity, but was happy that I had. About a month ago I downloaded that Vampire Weekend album, but never listened to it. Well, when it came on I was so impressed. It was just the bit of cheer to make this overcast humid day seem a bit nicer. I've now listened to it three times through and am still enjoying almost every track. I like when these things happen.

I've been seeing this woman around Market Street for the past couple of weeks. I figured it was time I gave her a dollar and got a snapshot.

It's a little hard to see, but someone wrote "QUEERS RULE" in the cement. This one's for my boo, Missy P.
